Objective of his visit is to understand more on Hass avocado farming in Kenya ranging from the different varieties of Hass, different spacing, how big avocado could grow at different years, different altitude and agroecology zones suitable for this Hass variety, water need and possibilities to grow the crop under rain feed.
Scions harvesting since Uganda is behind of us in avocado farming. Naro want to take a lead role as they venture in avocado farming. Owen was really impressed on success stories from our smallholder farmers in Kenya. He went back on Wednesday and we will keep communicating to share more knowledge and experience.
